From the Heart
Do you know what passion is? It’s something you can truly believe in.
Our passion is that every person is seen and given a second chance.
We deeply believe in caring for one another. Especially in times like these, that may be the most important calling we have as humanity.
From a young age, we felt a growing desire to help the most vulnerable. From that moment on, our path slowly began to unfold.
Through our professional experience in Dutch prisons and our work as managers, coaches, and (project) coordinators—collaborating with the Dutch government and other organizations—we have been shaped into dedicated and compassionate professionals in our field.
Who is Mirjam van der Vliet?
A young woman with a mission and a passion to support the most vulnerable.
I grew up surrounded by strong, resilient parents who taught me how to find joy even in difficult times. Their example shapes my life today, as a professional, wife, and volunteer.
Family and friendship are central in my life. As a wife, sister, daughter, and friend, I understand the importance and complexity of building, maintaining, and navigating a life through transitions, challenges, and joys. I live in Mexico City with my husband, surrounded by a wonderful community.
Truth
We firmly believe in the Bible, which teaches us to love our neighbor as ourselves and that Jesus is our strength. The Bible reveals grace—a greatness beyond our reach, which can feel overwhelming because it requires us to let go of control.

Mission & Vision
Agape means love that does not give up. That love is our motivation. Our mission is to support and guide the most vulnerable—especially people in Mexican prisons—towards a new future full of hope and perspective. Our vision is to be a movement of love in action: breaking chains, restoring hope, and offering second chances to those who are often forgotten by society. We believe that small acts done with a big heart can change lives.
